| Based on the Kings Road Raffles is named after the 19th century colonial mogul Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. The notorious members club began its glamorous history in 1967 re-opening under new ownership and management in May 2007. The leading forces behind the venture comprise of famed nightclub impresario Patrice Gouty, London legend Jeanette Calliva, and award winning interior designer Tara Bernerd. Their collective experience in servicing the celebrity and high-end members club market is unparalleled. Raffles services: Their combined depth of understanding has allowed them to create a members club that not only caters for late night soirees and party sessions, but also provides an exceptional food and canapé menu, live music on Tuesday nights, poker on Wednesday evenings, screenings of high profile sporting and cultural events all alongside Karaoke in the private upstairs bar. The main area of the club consists of 13 tables around a colourful under-lit dance floor and an adjacent bar. Upstairs, a private room with its own bar, karaoke machine, plasma screens and striking interior is used to hold private parties and special members events. The club has been crafted in a way that allows it to service its members with the highest of standards, in a manner that is similar to a members club of old, minus the sexism, and adding in a good healthy dose of debauched late night fun - providing the best of British both old and new. |
