The collection comprises of ‘fantasy’ or ‘daydream’ compacts which contain a mirror, lip balm – coming in either pink or orange – and blotting paper with refill. Each one is packaged in a tin embellished with the beautiful and well-loved characters. Sisley’s ‘Radiant Immediate Lift’

TENSOR_RADIANCE_CUT_OUT

Sisley know ‘what women want’: A fast acting product that is easy to use and will erase fatigue in a flash, lift facial features, give an instant boost and guarantee flawless, long-lasting make-up. That’s why they’ve given it to us, in the form of their ‘Radiant Immediate Lift’ with botanical extracts.

Thanks to stimulating and revitalising active ingredients, the new ultra-lightweight smoothes the skin’s surface and restores its radiance and luminosity, acting as the perfect beauty touch-up for any time of the day.

The product works in three ways to benefit the skin:
1. Enhances the complexion’s natural radiance and increases its luminosity.
2. Creates a micro-mesh on the skin’s surface, to instantly smooth its superficial micro-relief.
3. Extends make-up wear.

It contains the following ingredients:
• Prickly Pear Cactus Flower extract: An active ingredient previously used in Sisleÿa Radiance Anti-Aging Concentrate, for its action on the stratum corneum. Rich in oligosaccharides, it stimulates the activity of enzymes in the skin to foster the natural desquamation process, thus making it more receptive to active ingredients within the product.
• Lemon extract: Rich in minerals, vitamins and sugars, it stimulates skin.
• Watercress extract: Contains trace elements that boost the skin’s vitality.

Giving the Results:
The skin is radiant upon first application and instantly illuminates the complexion and also improves make-up wear. Facial features are instantly and noticeably tightened upon first application. The light-weight consistency makes it fantastic to use, getting the skin set for a flawless finish.

As a character in ‘What Women Want’ remarked: “If you know what women want, you can rule!” Clearly, Sisley understand.

Gstaad Palace

For those looking for skiing with a bit more glamour or more rest and recovery than physical exhaustion, the Gstaad Palace spa in Switzerland’s Gstaad is where you should be planting your ski poles.  The downstairs spa has not only eight treatment rooms but a private spa suite, relaxations areas, saunas, steam baths as well as both indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi pools and all overlooking long, stretching Swiss Alpine views.

While the saunas and steam rooms ease aching muscles, there are plenty of alternative hideaways simply for absolute quiet and relaxation, or the cozy lounge for reading with roaring fires, magazines, and refreshments.

There is a long list of classic treatments available, from facials to massages, but the treatment that entices everyone is the unique Hammam Experience which takes around two hours with seven different stages: be warned, book well in advance.

The ritual calming and soothing experience becomes addictive and there’s nothing beautiful than a private relaxation room or steam bath opposite the majestic peaks of the Swiss Alps.

The crème de la crème

My dry, dull, sensitive skin was crying out for an SOS.  I needed to act fast – no one gets very far with a face like that.

So where to start? I looked under the ultimate umbrella of luxury treatments at Urban Retreat Harrods, confident that something there could save my skin.

I wasn’t disappointed. After discussing my concerns with the extremely knowledgeable staff, it seemed that I really was in need of a ‘miracle’, in the form of the famous ‘Crème de la Mer’ facial.
My therapist, Nancy, came to my rescue and the facial was a truly luxurious experience. Urban Retreat Harrods has the only Crème de la Mer treatment room in the entire world and I felt incredibly privileged to be in it. The room has a state of the art fish tank and chakra balancing lights; a recipe for relaxation.

Now for ‘the science’ part. The crème de la crème of facials visibly acts to transform the appearance of the face and décolletage. Skin is massaged, softened and refined with a combination of sea quartz and pure diamond dust, preparing it to receive a pure concentration of the legendary Miracle BrothTM providing smoothing and anti-inflammatory properties. A generous application of Crème de la Mer seals in the facial’s vital benefits. Finally, a therapeutic hand massage takes you to the ultimate stage of relaxation, which focus’s on pressure points to encourage a sense of well-being. The end of the treatment is signalled by the sound of synchronised tuning forks, which rather reluctantly bring you back into the land of the living.

I left the magical room feeling relaxed but most importantly, my face looked and felt renewed. No longer dry and dull, my skin glowed and felt fantastically hydrated. It’s true what they say. Crème de la mer does work miracles but it also saves lives.

The Crème de la Mer facial includes after a thorough consultation:
Cleanse
Tone
Skin Analysis
Exfoliation
Mask
Face Massage
Miracle Broth Application
Hand and Arm Massage

Erbaorganics

Erba organics

At last a beauty range for mothers-to-be.  The purer than pure creation by Californian brand Erborganics uses only natural and organic ingredients.  Motivated by a concern about chemicals in skin products, husband and wife team, Robin Broan and Anna Cirronis, dreamt up a blend of organic and eco friendly ingredients that could be used on both mother and baby, forming the brand Erbaorganics.

There’s no wonder that even the non pregnant have leapt on this band-wagon as well.  With revitalizing body oils and bath products, each one is filled with either moisturizing aloe, relaxing lavender, healing Echinacea or soothing chamomile, calming even the most anxious mind.

Not only is Erbaorganics free from any pesticides or parabens but it gets even holier; with every purchase of baby oil or baby wash, 15% of the purchase price is donated to the World Wide Orphans Foundation of which Angelina Jolie, Mary-Louise Parker and Naomi Watts are supporters.

Found in most yoga schools, Erbaorganics is also stocked at Fresh and Wild stores.
