This Christmas will see Swarovski light up Knightsbridge. A five metre Crystal Snowflake created by the widely acclaimed light designer Ingo Maurer, will hang between The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Harvey Nichols and it will be the first ever Christmas decoration in Knightsbridge.

The design has been put together by Swarovski and the Knightsbridge Business Group. The Knightsbridge Business Group aims to attract both international and local people to Knightsbridge and both companies feel that this novel celebration of Christmas should do just that.

In addition to Ingo Maurer’s snowflake, to mark this occasion miniature snowflake ornaments will go on sale from 8^th November at Harvey Nichols and Harrods. However, on December 7^th, for one day only, Swarovski crystals will go on sale at 47 Elizabeth Street, with wrapping paper used from Crystallized snowflakes. All Swarovski purchases will have a percentage of the proceeds donated to UNICEF.

The lights will be turned on on the 8^th December by a mystery celebrity guest and could be just what you need to put you in the spirit of Christmas.
