Fast-growing charity, Mothers4Children, is launching its “Let’s Lunch” fundraising campaign this Mother’s Day. The initiative encourages women across the UK to host a lunch at home or at work, to raise money for charity.  Chanel hosted the exclusive launch event at its London boutique with well turned-out guests including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jasmine Guinness, Kelly Hoppen and Alice Temperley.

Simply log in to the website www.letslunch.leapanywhere.com for celebrity tips, recipes and how-to videos – there are even invitations to download and thank you cards for etiquette fiends. The charity suggests that hostesses ask their guests to donate a minimum of £10 to attend their shindig.

Says Lisa B, “Let’s face it, women love to lunch, so why not make your lunch count! We hope Britain’s nation of women will host lunches with their girlfriends, mums, sisters, aunts, daughters, Godmothers and colleagues in aid of Mothers4Children. What better way to catch up than a fun lunch that can also make a huge difference in a child’s life.”

Mothers4Children was founded in March 2009 and currently provides funding for Kids Company in the UK and FRODO – The foundation for the Relief of Disabled Orphans in Romania.

But if you’re going to cheat the cooking, don’t forget to hide the M&S wrappers eh …
