Girls on Film

Fashion film has certainly taken off as a major trend in recent months. From the big-budget Chanel affairs to the quirkier shorts in the making from Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler, it is no surprise that Brit favourites Savannah and Sienna Miller chose the medium to promote their newest collection for their brand Twenty8Twelve.
The sisterly team took a trip to Hilles, the Gloucestershire home of Isabella and Detmar Blow, to film their clothes in motion. The venue is said to have proved great inspiration for the late Alexander McQueen, who was a great friend of the infamously stylish Blow. In an interview with British Vogue, Sienna talked of the inspirational setting in relation to their fashion vision for Fall/Winter: “The rich tapestries, velvets and eclectic style of the house completely reflect the elements of our autumn/winter collection. I loved filming in every room.”
Sienna stars in the movie alongside Sara Blomqvist, under the direction of Angelo Penetta. Savannah said of the collaboration, “We feel it makes the story come alive and it was amazing to work with Angelo”. Take a look at the highly polished piece at Vogue online: http://tiny.cc/23eya
