Concrete Plans

The Soho House Group empire continues apace…
Pizza East, the non-members pizza emporium round the corner from the Shoreditch House mother ship has just extended underground. The new subterranean bar is called Concrete and is open to the public from Thursday to Saturday with a cool line-up of club nights featuring big name DJs who make great use of the state-of-the-art sound system.
It’s available for private hire from Sunday to Wednesday and can hold up to 275 people for edgy receptions, private exhibitions and launches or 80 for lunch or dinner. The industial vibe lends itself perfectly to the east London scene.
But back at the ranch, or should we say The House, April will see the launch of the eagerly anticipated Shoreditch Rooms – a 26 bed (four of which boast their own balconies) boutique hotel spread across the venue’s five floors.
We’re talking bespoke furniture, old school wooden window shutters and rainforest style showers and Cowshed products in the bathrooms.
