Girls, Girls, Girls

To coincide with the launch of their latest spring/summer collection, Roxy Heart has teamed up with JaguarShoes to present two exciting, but very different, photography exhibitions to celebrate the fairer sex.
“Girls, Girls, Girls” is an exhibition of works by the amazingly talented female photographers, Valerie Phillips and Gemma Booth, and can be seen at The Old Shoreditch Fire Station.
Valerie’s documentary style of photography captures the beauty and spontaneity of her subjects and for this exhibition she is presenting unseen pictures from her longest running case study, Lacy, a girl from Kentucky. The title “You’re so sexy baby”, “Shut the fuck up” is derived from an exchange of words between the girl and her boyfriend.
Gemma’s playful and evocative photographs join the dots between fantasy and reality and her characters inhabit a dream-like alternative world. Her work includes a short film she’d done with prop-stylist Sarah May, showing at the back of the gallery space.
Both Gemma and Valerie have a strong following and this exhibition leaves you in no doubt as to why. Girls, Girls, Girls, runs until Sunday 19th April and can be seen at The Shoreditch Old Fire Station.
